Microsoft releases Beta of Virtual Machine Converter plug-in for vSphere Client Posted: 17 Aug 2012 01:16 AM PDT Microsoft has announced that a beta version of its Microsoft Virtual Machine Converter Plug-in for VMware vSphere Client version 1.0 is available on Microsoft Connect. The tool which is a Solution Accelerator is a plug-in for the vSphere Client which works in conjunction with the Release Candidate of the Microsoft Virtual Machine Converter tool which is also available through Microsoft Connect. Application Virtualization Best Practices Analyzer for 2008r2 Posted: 16 Aug 2012 03:50 AM PDT This is my first post so forgive me if I miss any pertinent details with my first go at this! I'm running App-V Management Server 4.5 on a 2008r2 server, I've moved my content share to another drive on the server and applied the 'fixes' for that move. I've loaded sequences and applied application specific AD groups to those applications. I have App-V 4.6 SP1 clients running on 2008R2 servers with Citrix Xenapp, and the applications are pre-loaded across the servers on my Xenapp server farm with users added to the application AD groups they need access too. Oddly, all users have access to all apps. I'm assuming this isn't a feature as it's not something I've seen with SoftGrid. I've been looking for an Application Virtualization Best Practices Analyzer, is there one hidden away somewhere for 2008r2? This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
