VMware results for Q3 2012 Posted: 26 Oct 2012 01:28 PM PDT On October 23, VMware released the results about its growth for Q3 2012. VMware, announced a total  revenue growth of $1.13 billion, for an increase of 20 percent compared to Q3 2011, Operating Margin of 16.8% and Non-GAAP Operating Margin of 32.2%. At the same time, the company announced, former corporate vice president of Microsoft and CFO of Skype Jonathan Chadwick to join VMware as chief financial officer (CFO) . Revenues for the third quarter were $1.13 billion, an increase of 20% from the third quarter of 2011, and 22% measured in constant currency. Operating income for the third quarter was $190 million, an increase of 5% from the third quarter of 2011. Non-GAAP operating income for the third quarter was $365 million, an increase of 28% from the third quarter of 2011. Net income for the third quarter was $157 million, or $0.36 per diluted share, compared to $178 million, or $0.41 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2011. Non-GAAP net income for the quarter was $303 million, or $0.70 per diluted share, compared to $230 million, or $0.53 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2011. Trailing twelve months operating cash flows were $1.97 billion, an increase of 5% compared to the trailing twelve months ended the third quarter of 2011. Trailing twelve months free cash flows were $1.90 billion, an increase of 4% compared to the trailing twelve months ended the third quarter of 2011. The company, founded 1985 and headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, producer of end-to-end service management, virtualization management and user-oriented IT service management, improved both suites including new features such as enhanced cross-platform support, innovative software license management and virtualization management. The suites will be available from October 31, some of the highlights of Management Suite 9.5: Virtualization Management: With the release of 9.5, LANDesk customers can manage both physical and virtual desktops from a single console. For virtual desktops, LANDesk embraces both persistent and non-persistent scenarios and enables easy deployment of the management agent. Application Virtualization: 9.5 also broadens LANDesk's application virtualization support. This solution provides agnostic support of application virtualization packaging, regardless of vendor (Microsoft App-V or other standard application virtualization packages), allowing customers to take advantage of industry-standard technologies without complexity or hassle. Full Cross-Platform Support (Windows, MAC, iOS, Android, Unix/Linux). Among the new features of Security Suite 9.5: Patch Management Autofix by Scope: The 9.5 release of Patch Management features Auto-Fix by Scope that includes granular control of install policies. Core Auditing: Security Suite 9.5 allows auditing administrators to determine what functions need to be audited. Auditing information is stored separately from the LANDesk data, and can be sent to the event log as well. Auditing can also be queried and information can be archived and restored as needed. Credant Integration (Encryption Status): Administrators can open the LANDesk console and can determine what devices are encrypted from within the LANDesk Inventory. Administrators can run a report of protected and/or unprotected devices. Kaspersky Lab Standard Endpoint Agent 8.0: Security Suite 9.5 will include the Kaspersky Lab Version 8 Standard Client. Sequence applications problems Posted: 26 Oct 2012 04:06 AM PDT Hi all, I have some problems with sequencing applications, if iI sequence applications often there comes some problem notifications regarding file and shell extensions. If I stream this applications, the shell extension for example which I have on my physical computer. Another problem is that if I sequence more applications for the same file extensions, for example ".zip", I only see the shell extensions only from one application, for example only winrar, instead of all applications winrar, winzip and 7zip. Beside this if I want to use "open with" there is one one possibility to open this file extensions. Can anyone help me how to sequence this applications that I can choose my program with "open with" and all the shell extensions of the programs? When i try to refresh server throw "Application Virtualization Client" i get an error "4534C18-1680D30A-00000014" In "Application Event log" appear an error: 3131, category:25 {tid=63c:usr=app-vuser} Failure on Desktop Configuration Server request to URL {rtsp://admin.diplom.vz:554/} with header {Host: admin.diplom.vz Content-Type: text/xml } (rc 1680D30A-00000014). sftlog.txt: [10/26/2012 11:57:27:884 MIME ERR] {tid=63C:usr=app-vuser} Server and client have the same port 554, folder "Content" is shared and i can read files from it.
