App-V 5.0 NLB

Posted: 18 Jan 2013 09:26 AM PST

Hi All,

I can't seem to find an online answer to my query.

Does App-V 5.0 support Microsof NLB in the same way as was possible with the 4.5/4.6 App-V release?

Want to build 2 x multi-role App-V combined management/publishing/reporting servers and implement NLB without incurring cost of a 3rd party dedicated load balancer.

Databases will be on seperate cluster and DFS will take care of content share high availability.

No SCCM involved.

Thanks

AppV 5.0: Install application through msi

Posted: 18 Jan 2013 02:17 AM PST

Hi,

I have created a package through AppV 5.0. I'm installing the application through the generated msi. It's a standalone deployment. When i applying a script through UserConfig.xml file then its working fine but when i applying the script through DeploymentConfig.xml, The application fails to launch.

I'm first installing the application through msi and using below mentioned command to apply script using powershell:

Set-AppvClientPackage -Name XYZ -DynamicDeploymentConfiguration "C:\APP\APP_DeploymentConfig.xml"

I wanted the script to run as soon as the shortcut launches but i'm getting below mentioned error:

The application requested cannot be launched. check your network connection and try again

error code: 10151131160869078281

I checked event viewer but could get any info.

App-v 5 Client – User Can’t access globally published app.

Posted: 18 Jan 2013 01:35 AM PST

Hi Guys,

As the title says, I've published a globally (computer targeted) enabled package to a couple of computers & was able to successfully run them using an admin account.

But when I try to run the packages using a normal user account, I get the following error:

I've had no issues with deploying packages that target users. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
