Paper: VMware View with FlexPod – Deployment Guide

Posted: 30 May 2013 08:22 AM PDT

FlexPod is a CISCO Systems base data center solution built upon Cisco Unified Computing System, Cisco Nexus switches and NetApp Fabric-Attached Storage (FAS) components.

The advantage of using pre-designed and pre-validated configurations is the opportunity of reducing administrative effort maintaining a stable and compliant architecture while delivering, in this case, Windows desktops and applications.

This paper, published by VMware, describes the Flexpod reference architecture for VMware View 5.1 with the technologies above mentioned.

This paper is intended for IT decision makers, architects, administrators, and others who want to familiarize themselves with the components and capabilities of VMware View on FlexPod. This paper assumes that the reader has a general understanding of VMware View and the VMware vSphere platform, and the Flexpod, Cisco, and Netapp products described in this solution.
