App V Server/Client RTP/RTCP/RTSP protocols - trying to catch Posted: 13 Oct 2012 08:32 AM PDT Hi everyone. In Microsoft documentation related to App V (4.6) components we can find information about protocols used to establish connection between client and server, to download OSD, ICON files in to the client machine etc... So, there is information about RTP protocol used to "transport" data such a osd, icons, file associations, RTCP to control traffic "quality" ( send reports between client and server ) and RTSP as communication layer between server and client. I'm trying to observe this communication using Whireshark application to catch appropriate packets. And here is a problem. When I capture all data from publishing or streaming process I cannot find any of RTP or/and RTCP packets. I see, that RTPS in SETUP message defines RTP/SDCP/RTPS transport protocols but I cannot locate those protocols in further communication. So, is App V actually uses RTP/RTCP protocols or not? Any idea? I need those information's to my master thesis. Thank You in advance for any tips. This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
