App-V 4.6 SP1 file association Posted: 12 Oct 2012 05:45 PM PDT Hi all, I am sure this question been asked many times before but for some reason I am not able to find any related posts. so we have App-V client installed on a terminal server where users connect to use company accounting application. this part is working fine. we have office 2007 word and excel sequenced and get streamed to this server in the event of launching files with .doc, docx, .xls, and xlsx. from app-v management domain users are granted access to word and excel and I am able to open word and excel no problems and when I double click an excel or work, it gets streamed and opens just fine. however end users who are not admins on the terminal servers are not able to open them. when I login as a standard user and copy an excel or word file, I am seeing it as if it's not associated with any application. any ideas on how to make this work with all users regardless of their access level? all comments are much appreicated. XenDesktop + Hyper-V + HP= Happy Meal at Synergy Barcelona 2012… Posted: 12 Oct 2012 02:54 PM PDT I always loved my Happy Meal as a kid, but even more than that I was anxious on finding out what was the prize inside that mysterious box. That same child like enthusiasm is why I love working with our partners at Microsoft and HP and creating our own VDI Happy Meal architectures for customers. If your interested in learning what's the latest in architecture and scalability with Citrix's… |
NetScaler protocol optimizations turbo charge XenDesktop and XenApp Posted: 12 Oct 2012 02:50 PM PDT Citrix NetScaler provides a host of advanced TCP optimizations that accelerate the performance of application traffic by improving the efficiency of the underlying network and still preserving 100 percent interoperability with all clients, servers and the networking infrastructure. While many of these TCP optimizations have been available on NetScaler appliances for some time, what is new is the use of TCP Profiles specific to Citrix… |
Discover a Radical New Take on Collaboration at Synergy Barcelona Posted: 12 Oct 2012 02:10 PM PDT Hi, my name is Jon Froda, and I'm the co-founder of Podio, the collaborative work platform. I've always believed that people should be empowered by work tools that really work like they do. That's why we started Podio, to help people achieve more together, with fewer unstructured emails and scattered documents and without rigid, expensive software. Every time I meet people using Podio and hear how… |
Integrating smartcards with Citrix Products? Posted: 12 Oct 2012 12:39 PM PDT Created: 2012-10-12 Last Update: 2012-10-12 I tend to find myself deeply involved with these types of setups time over time, and I have realised that a lot of important information is completely undocumented, briefly documented, or just unknown to the majority of our customers and partners. So I have finally decided to create a blog series about smartcards due. As I keep learning new things… |
Access Gateway – Variants, scalability and changes Posted: 12 Oct 2012 07:48 AM PDT Of late, i've been getting a lot of questions from all of you, on what's been happening with Access Gateway, what the current available options are, and which ones should be used in what situation. Access Gateway continues to be a core product for Citrix, and has a very vital role to play in providing secure remote access to users, delivering access to resources for remote users.… |
