App V 4.6SP1 - can I run sfttray.exe /loadall without having AppV infrastructure? Posted: 15 Nov 2012 06:43 PM PST Hi there, I'll start with what I'm trying to do. I have a collection or RDS boxes, and I'd like to just use the standalone mode with no infrastructure. I'd also like to cache all the apps into the local appV cache on the box before users log in. I have a collection of AppV apps in a DFS share, say \\Domain\DFS\Appv in that share, i have a package. I've installed the AppV client on the RDS box. I've used the appV group policies to configure these settings on the computer object in both the 64 and x86 areas: Allow Independant File Streaming = Enabled Application source Root path is enabled and defined only as \\Domain\DFS\Appv OSD Source Root is enabled and defined as \\Domain\DFS\Appv So that being said, I was crazy enough to think that if I then ran this on the RDS server: sfttray.exe /loadall i would get apps from the DFS share loaded into cache. But instead, i get a message "loaded 0 applications". Note that i am running the sfttray command under an admin user account, if that matters. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
