VMware Innovate magazine available for download

Internal VMware's magazine, called "Innovate", has been made accessible for everyone to download.

The reachable edition of Innovate is about VMware's internal R&D Innovation Offsite (RADIO) 2012, a gathering of about people from across VMware's R&D organization and from around the world, the magazine introduces datas and themes mentioned in the conference.

Julia Austin, VP of Innovation at VMware and Duncan Epping, principal architect at VMware, gave the news about the availability of VMware internal magazine, respectively on Yellow Brick and Twitter.

We are currently in the process of upgrading to SCCM 2012. We are also embarking on testing App-V v5. Can we deploy sequenced applications from App-V v5 using SCCM 2007? What limitations will exist with SCCM 2007? What release of SCCM 2007 should we be at for App-V v5 sequenced applications to be deployed and/or streamed?

Amazon announces Windows Server 2012 availability on EC2

Amazon yesterday announced that it can now provide Amazon Virtual Machine Images (AMI) which run Windows Server 2012, which Microsoft released last august on its Elastic Cloud Computing (EC2) platform. Windows Server 2012 will be made available next to the Windows Server 2003 R2, 2008 and 2008 R2 offerings already available.

Amazon is offering 31 AMIs based on Windows Server 2012, 19 different languages and for Windows with SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2 in the Express, Web and Standard Edition. These AMIs are available in every region and are for use in any instance type.
