Posted: 10 Jan 2013 08:45 PM PST As a disclaimer I have read the J.C. Hornbeck blog "How to configure the App-V Management Server Service to run as a Service Account" for 4.6 but never used 4.6 and I'm new to AppV with 5.0 so don't have the background to immediately understand what may or may not apply. I understand how to setup AppV Management server to use a service account under IIS, but my question is has Microsoft provided any guidance anywhere for any other changes required beyond assigning the account in the IIS console? Ideally I'd like to have my full infrastructure (Management, Pub, and Reporting) using a service account, but would appreciate some clarity on the approach to ensure I've covered all pre-requisites. The Beginning of the Non-Dedicated Device World? Posted: 10 Jan 2013 12:54 PM PST What makes your phone your phone? Or, for that matter, what makes your desktop, your laptop or your tablet yours? The answer lies in two defining aspects of each device: The user's data that is locally-stored, and the user's personalization information. |

Users Can't run any App-v programs after reboot errors on RDS server are all gone Posted: 10 Jan 2013 06:41 AM PST The problem is the following. the last weeks of so users can't start any app-v programs, we get the following error message in the eventviewer and sftlog Event Description: {tid=1904:usr=<%username%} The Application Virtualization Client was unable to initialize the user's profile for a system session (rc 10601903-00007003).
This is then for every user on the RDS server. After rebooting the server the problem is gone for a while. We have the following setup. RDS servers W2K8 R2 with App-v for Remote desktop Services Client version : 4.6.1.30111 App-v Server: Management server version 4.5.3.19480 App-v Server: Streaming server version 4.5.3.19480 The userdatadirectory is %Appdata% which is a roaming profile. Who has any clue about the problem, can't find anything after searching the internet with this error code. I know there is a new hotfix for the client but thats only a feature for adobe reader X
