4.6 SP2 04-0000040F

Posted: 06 Feb 2013 11:21 PM PST

Hi,

In our environment with Windows 7 x64, App-V 4.6 SP2, SCCM 2012 and SCEP 2012 some users are getting this error message sometimes:

04-0000040F

In the sftlog.txt (Swedish):

"Efter starten kunde processen inte fortsättas med SystemGuard (senaste felet 7)."

"CSGApplicationManager::find_ve_by_pid_unchecked pid 0x00001724 FAILED (2)"

"Ett fel uppstod när det virtuella registret skulle öppnas (avsnitt: 9), rk: 07B01F0C-0000004A"

This happens on some regular applications like Firefox, PuTTy, Visio. But very rarely. The user often gets this error and then tries again and then it works.

Any ideas?

I have excluded some folders in the antivirus after MS bestpractice. Some of these apps has Local Interaction Allowed, some don't.

/Daniel

App v 4.61 SP1 Error code: 4625DD4-14200C2A-0000052E

Posted: 06 Feb 2013 11:32 AM PST

Hi all,

I have a question about App V sequence. I can use some help about this issue.

I have one domain with a trusted domain between two sites. (two-way traffic)
On the server where the OSD files are available, Germany domain users have read / execute access on the folder and read access on the shared folder where all the OSD files in placed..

Then I go the Xenapp 6.0 environment, I create a published application and put the following location to the published app.

I put the Tust domain to the I need some help because I can't start the published application from Xenapp 6.0 what I published. Command line:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Application Virtualization Client\sfttray.exe"  "Appserv01 \ Apps \ Office2003 \ Word2003 "  add 3 servers where the application
can start to use the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Application Virtualization Client\sfttray.exe".

Everything works fine I can published the application user from Germany (trusted domain) can see the published application the user from Germany start the application and the problem start with:

The application will start it take couple second on the tray like "Checking Updates"  after that 30 seconds Application "Launch Failed"
and get the "Logon failure: Unknown user name or bad password" with error code 4625DD4-14200C2A-0000052E.

I just put the domain user group from Germany (trusted domain) give the full access rights on the folder also on the share but doesn't work. When I start the application from the domain where the OSD file has been located with read permission on the folder on the same domain where the sequence placed with and with Xenapp 6.0 I can start the application. What do I wrong what kind permission I have to give to the users from Germany to make it work for the Germany users.

I try everything but doesn't work.

Kind regards
H.Gultekin

My settings are :-

UserRefreshEnabled : True

UserRefreshOnLogon : True

UserRefreshInterval : 0

UserRefreshIntervalUnit : Day

Any guidance / assistance would be appreciated to speed this up

Posted: 06 Feb 2013 08:07 AM PST

ReplicationLooking to get a head start on virtualizing Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 with App-V? If so then this one's for you. Microsoft's own Arnab Biswas just posted a recipe that describes how to sequence Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 for use with Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) over in our TechNet forum. The method that he describes is not the only possible method but it's one we've tested and know will work. You can find Arnab's post here:

Flu Season + Mobile Workstyle Strategy = Increased Productivity

Posted: 06 Feb 2013 07:02 AM PST

The impact of this flu season has been costly to employers. A study last year by Walgreens found out that 100 million workdays and approximately $7 billion in wages were lost during the 2010-2011 flu season. A recent CDC report estimates that U.S. employers paid $10.4 billion in hospitalization and outpatient costs – and they think it's on track to be even worst this season.…
