Microsoft Office 2013: Impact on VDI and SBC Workloads Posted: 27 Mar 2013 12:55 PM PDT As a part of the Citrix Global Alliances team, I spend a good portion of my time conducting performance tests to size Citrix software configurations in conjunction with products from our partners. For example, Citrix recently released version 5.2 of VDI-in-a-Box—the first Citrix desktop virtualization product to be supported and validated on the updated version of Microsoft Server 2012 with Hyper-V. A few weeks ago… |

Citrix Service Provider program extends route to SMBs Posted: 27 Mar 2013 08:13 AM PDT Hosting desktops, apps and data in public clouds is a major trend that is being embraced by organizations – particularly small and mid-size businesses (SMBs) – which prefer to let someone else invest in, administer and deliver these resources. SMBs value the simplicity and cost-effectiveness of accessing all their apps and desktops from a cloud hosting provider. The Citrix channel team created the Citrix Service… |
Storefront with Access Gateway Enterprise setup Posted: 27 Mar 2013 06:02 AM PDT The reason for this blog post is to provide some help on installing StoreFront the proper way and integrate with Access Gateway Enterprise on NetScaler. Working as a TRM I have come across more than a few clients with various issues when it comes to putting all the pieces together. Therefore, here is my guide to setup StoreFront with NetScaler as Load Balancer and integrate… |
ControlUp 2.0 : Now leveraging Citrix best practices Posted: 27 Mar 2013 05:42 AM PDT A while ago, I wrote about ControlUp and how it can help monitoring Citrix XenApp & XenDesktop environments in real-time. Looking at your positive comments, I decided to keep an eye on this tool. Last month, Smart-X CTO briefed me on a new ControlUp release now available for download. After reviewing some of the new features available in ControlUp 2.0, I thought it would be… |
Introducing Citrix CloudPortal Business Manager 2.0 Posted: 27 Mar 2013 05:00 AM PDT Today at Citrix we are excited to announce the availability of Citrix CloudPortal Business Manager 2.0. This release changes not only how we think about CloudPortal Business Manager, but more importantly how organizations will use it and the types of cloud services they can now deliver with it. Previously, CloudPortal has been the BSS/OSS (business support system, operations support system) platform for delivering Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)… |
